homemade 4 ingredient vanilla ice cream?
I saw a recipe once for use in an electric ice cream maker (4 quart) that only included the ingredients of: Milk, sugar vanilla and egg. Please help me with the recipe as other sites want me to use ingredients i dont have. Thank you!
I found many with 4 ingredients (but they don’t use eggs)…
***Simple Foodie Vanilla Ice Cream***
milk 3/4 cup
sugar 2/3 cup
heavy cream 1 1/2 cups
vanilla extract 1 tsp to taste
1.In a saucepan heat the milk over medium heat until bubbles begin to form on the edges.
2.Remove from the heat and stir in the sugar. Mix well until the sugar dissolves. Remove to a mixing bowl.
3.Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.
4.Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5.Freeze per your ice cream maker instructions.
***Simple Vanilla Ice Cream*** (from Revolution Health)
Ingredients:
1 1/8 cups, Sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons, Vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups, Whole milk
3 cups, Heavy whipping cream
Directions:
1.In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer on low spead to conbine the milk and granulated sugar until the sugar is dissolved, (about 1 to 2 minutes).
2.Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla.
3.Turn the [Ice cream maker] on
4.Pour the mixture into the freezer bowl and let mix until thickened (about 20 to 25 minutes)
5.The ice cream will have a soft, creamy texture. If a firmer consistency is desired, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and place in freezer for about 2 hours.
6.Remove from freezer about 15 minutes before serving.
Or you could try this….
***French Vanilla Ice Cream***
2 large eggs
3/4 cup sugar
3 cups whole milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
Whisk the eggs in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy, 1 to 2 minutes.
Whisk in the sugar, a little at a time, then continue whisking until completely blended, about 1 minute more. Pour in the milk, and vanilla and whisk to blend.
Transfer the mixture to an ice cream maker and freeze following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Makes 1 Quart **variation: add 1 cup coarsely chopped Reece’s Peanut butter cups, after ice cream stiffens (about 2 minutes before it is done) let it continue processing.
