Can anyone give me tips on how to use a pressure cooker?
I have a pressure pot Mirra, and used it for 2-3 years. The indicator is a weighted and has worked well. This year, by placing canned goods, I realized that the weight does not mean "rock" the way it was intended when it reaches adequate pressure (weight 10 pounds on it), so I'm not sure it is reaching the right pressure, even if it was in the kitchen for long. As I know, the lid is locked forever, the vent is clear and is not connected, and the safety cap is fine. I have yet to release any vapor from the tube, but without the "rocking" movement, I wonder if the pot is to reach the temperatures required for cooking low acidity. Is there a way to say? I have not been able to find the thermometers to be able to tell me the temperature, while heating the pot.
I agree with Kitty, I for years and never had this problem but I have not changed my label and always make sure that every piece has been well cared for, as always feared the abandonment of my weight, pressure, fear that it would be off balance or something. Do not know if it's possible, but I do not think so.
